"Your word, Lord, is eternal; it stands firm in the heavens." (Psalm 119:89, NIV)

There have been times when I opened my Bible with a weary heart, a distracted mind, or questions I could not quite put into words. I may have read the same passage many times before, yet somehow, in the kindness of God, His Word met me there once again. It does not change, but it meets me in the midst of what has changed in me.

Have you ever felt this way?

Psalm 119:89 reminds us that God’s Word is not fragile, fading, or outdated. It is settled, secure, and forever true. The same voice that spoke creation into existence still speaks life, correction, comfort, wisdom, and hope to His daughters today.

The beauty of Scripture is that it is both ancient and alive. A verse we once read as encouragement may later become direction. A promise we held onto in a season of waiting may become a song of praise when the answer comes. A familiar passage may suddenly reveal something we had not noticed before—not because God’s Word changed, but because the Holy Spirit is faithfully applying it to the place where we are today.

As women, we carry many things: responsibilities, relationships, griefs, dreams, decisions, and quiet battles no one else sees. God’s Word meets us in all of it. It is steady when our emotions are not. It is trustworthy when circumstances feel uncertain. It is fresh mercy for today and firm truth for tomorrow.

What familiar verse might God be inviting you to read with fresh eyes today?

Lord, thank You that Your Word is eternal, unshaken, and alive. Open my eyes to see what You want to show me today. Give me a heart that returns to Scripture with expectation, trusting that You will meet me there with wisdom, comfort, conviction, and hope. Let Your Word feel fresh in my life, not because it changes, but because You are continually changing me through it. Amen.
