“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” (Jeremiah 33:3 KJV).

Have you ever read the same Bible passage dozens of times, only to notice something completely new?

That has happened to me more times than I can count. I'll be reading a familiar verse, convinced I know exactly what it says, and suddenly a phrase stands out that I've somehow overlooked for years. It's a reminder that God's Word is living and active. No matter how many times we read it, there's always another lesson to learn, another promise to embrace, or another truth to apply.

I used to think today’s verse was only about asking God for guidance through prayer. But the more time I spend in His Word, the more I realise that one of the ways He answers is by revealing truths I haven't seen before. As I seek Him with an open heart, He faithfully teaches me things I didn't know—about His character, His faithfulness, and even the areas of my own life that need to change.

God never intended for His Word to become routine. Every time we open our Bibles, we have an opportunity to learn something new because we come with new experiences, new challenges, and a growing relationship with Him. The Author of Scripture is still at work, helping us understand His truth one day at a time.

The more we seek God, the more we discover that His wisdom is inexhaustible. There is always another treasure waiting for those willing to ask, listen, and learn.
